Hello from Rachel, Hempsted Children and Families Worker

I am delighted to introduce myself as the Children and Families Worker.  Employed by Hempsted Church,

I work in partnership with Hempsted School.

We aim to do two things: to support children and families across the Hempsted community and to share activities and opportunities for children and families to grow in faith.

Who is Messy Church for?

Messy Church is a way of being church for families, involving fun!

Messy Church is found across the world.

Messy Church is for families.

We enjoy fun, crafts, worship and cooked tea together.

Children bring a grown up who stays and takes part too.

What is Messy Church like?

At Messy Church we have fun!

At every Messy Church we have a theme

which might be a Bible story, like the story  of

Jesus feeding the five thousand.

Our theme might be something about Jesus,

like Jesus is the light of the world.

We get messy doing craft and other

activities to do with our theme.

To sing, to hear a Bible story and to pray.
