Church Services at Hempsted

St Swithun’s is where our work with children and young families is based – not only through involvement in the local Hempsted School through Open the Book, but also through our monthly Family Services and occasional holiday activity days.

Members of the church family are also involved in village social events, including the monthly charity lunch, and annual St Swithun’s Weekend celebrations. We are very lucky to have a modern well-fitted church hall with kitchen next door.

On a Sunday morning we worship at 8.00am with a Said Eucharist in traditional language, and a Sung Communion service at 11.00am – all are welcome. Our fine team of bell-ringers are on duty every week calling us to worship. St Swithun’s Church is usually open from 9.00am until dusk each day.
